Main tasks & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright.
- Create and execute automated mobile test cases using Appium.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure high product quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze test results and provide clear reports on product quality and testing progress.
- Continuously improve the test automation framework, test coverage, and QA processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release validation activities.
- Ensure testing best practices are followed throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer.
- Strong experience with Playwright for web test automation.
- Experience with Appium for mobile test automation (iOS and/or Android).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices.
- Experience creating and maintaining automated test suites.
- Knowledge of REST API testing and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experience with performance or load testing tools.
- Knowledge of test reporting frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge (JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python).
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certification.
- Experience working in fast-paced SaaS or product development environments.
